Maizie’s Dog House started with one very special dog.

I’ve always loved dogs, but Maizie came into my life at a time when everything felt uncertain. I had worked in customer service, retail, and social work, but I still felt like I hadn’t found where I truly belonged. Life was heavy, and somehow this little pup gave me exactly what I needed.

She gave me unconditional love, purpose, and a reason to keep moving forward during one of the hardest chapters of my life. She reminded me that sometimes the best things find you when you least expect them.

As time went on, I knew I wanted to build something that included her. I wasn’t sure what that looked like at first. I tossed around countless business ideas, hoping one would feel right.

Then one late night in October 2024, I stumbled across a video of a dog treat truck. Everything clicked. I remember thinking, “This is it.”

From that moment on, Maizie’s Dog House became more than just an idea. Finding the trailer, creating recipes, building the brand, and bringing the dream to life wasn’t always easy. There were plenty of twists and turns along the way, but every challenge only made me more determined to see it through.

Today, Maizie’s Dog House is exactly what I dreamed it could be, a place where dogs are celebrated, spoiled, and loved like family.

Nothing makes me happier than watching dogs sprint toward the trailer, tails wagging, knowing they’re about to get their favorite treat. Seeing the smiles on both the dogs and their humans reminds me every day why I started this journey.

Maizie will always be the heart behind this business. Without her, there wouldn’t be a Maizie’s Dog House.

She changed my life, and because of her, I get to spend my days bringing a little extra joy to the lives of dogs and the people who love them.
